Re: Taking Correct Action for the True Peace and Lasting Tranquility of Our Land

Dear President Bush,

  When in the distant future World Peace is achieved, the people presently in power who became harbingers of doom and activated weaponry towards the extinguishing of any human life will be known as the disgraceful criminals who held our world back from achieving its full benefits and glory. You hold the future of so many lives in your hands.  I wish for you total great fortune and true happiness. These wonderful qualities of life cannot be built upon the suffering of others. It is not too late to change –from this moment forward is what counts. If profit and happiness is gained from the suffering of others, you can rest assured that the relishing of these achievements will be hollow and short-lived. Cause and effect is strict. It is the Law of the Universe.  Please awaken yourself to this fact, and determine to be the Peacemaker in our current history. Please determine to be a man who will go down in history with honor and uncommon valor by becoming a leader who bravely associates with compassionate and peaceful world leaders. I can imagine the level of power and dangers you must face in your world of politics. You live, eat, breathe, and bathe with sharks. I wonder if you will become known as a Hammerhead or a Whale Shark. One is hated for its savage qualities, yet the other is a gentle giant capable of reaching enormous sizes. Our country is being diminished to the world reputation of a hammerhead shark. However long we are energized as a people to “hunt” down the criminals of the world sparing no lives in the process, our children’s children will also be hunted by the specter of torn lives and vengeful terrorists whose lands we had long left. You can become an eternal champion for the people and for your family. Instead of sending bombs over to other countries, we could be educating them in peaceful practices. Violence will never work for lasting peace. You must engage in inexhaustible painstaking dialogue with other leaders to achieve this type of peace for which the American People yearn in their deepest fundamental hearts. You should follow the lead of a man like Daisaku Ikeda who has traveled tirelessly engaging other leaders from around the world in dialogues for the sake of peace.  This man has now been awarded over one hundred honorary doctorates around the world. Of course, we should start by spreading this truth and education to our own people, so that our own country can lesson its extremely heavy load of crimes and misery to the human condition. I’m talking about information that is recession proof. By creating positive actions, we all benefit and this function is not limited by man-made borders. Many of the less fortunate (less fortunate being the ones who are not given the chance at true education, nor allowed a voice, nor encouraged by a solid mentor) youth of today are becoming wandering hollow vessels because there are so few worthy role models on the main stage of life.  The laws of life act the same on a bum or the president. To be awakened that we are all individually responsible for our own lives is the greatest treasure. To be aware that there is never anyone to blame but the person we see in the mirror in the morning. If not you, who will hold up the clear mirror of truth and lead the people down the long road towards true lasting peace on this planet? Leave it to the next guy, leave it to the next generation; however, this is a failing plan. As the principles and motives of each generation decrease in virtue and lessen positive nutrition, the harvest is what will suffer. Without a proper harvest, our nation for which it stands will not be able to sustain.  If our world leaders are not convinced of these truths and proponents of true philosophy towards humanism, then our planet is headed down the brutal path of war, suffering, angst, bitterness, etc. -everything for which the previous century stood. You can be the person who stands up against the huge tide of wrongful behavior! You must have so much pressure on you to take incorrect action. In fact, I feel that this confusion of correct or incorrect action runs in your blood, as is the same with each and everyone of us. Please become a bridge builder so that your American people will cross safely into the future of expanded shores. At the height of your life and success, it must seem impossible to you that our country is going down the wrong path leading us to ruin. No empire has ever survived. If led this way, America will be no different.
